Fabricover provides the finished RV skirting panels and twist lock fasteners only. We do not fabricate, nor stock skirting for specific RV models. Each individual skirt panel is custom finished to the specific height and length and fabric color selected by the customer. You must determine the correct panels sizes you need by accurately measuring your RV. You must determine the best location for
mounting the twist lock fasteners onto your RV. Each RV or Travel Trailer is
different and the installation of the skirting may require additional
hardware which you can purchase locally at any hardware store.
Skirting Panel Height choices available are: 24", 30", 36", 42", 48", 54", 60", 66", 72".
Skirting Panel Length choices available are: 10', 15', 20', 25', 30', 35' (Depending on height)
Stock fabric color choices available are: Black, White, Gray, and Tan.
These are sold as individual RV skirting panels. Please be sure to order enough skirting panels to fully skirt your RV.
Your RV skirting is best installed using the "Twist Lock" style fastener.
We include an appropriate quantity of twist lock fasteners with your order.
Twist lock fasteners are the best choice of fastener for attaching RV skirting to your RV or travel trailer. They are a secure locking fastener and will hold the RV skirting panels to the body of the trailer without coming off because of the "twist" feature on stud component. The twist lock stud is a "double" height stud, which allows for two female rings to be put on the same twist lock stud and then twisted to securely lock both panels together. This allows for overlapping of the individual RV skirt panels which eliminates the open gaps in between separate RV skirt panels. (TIP: The male part of each twist lock fastener is a "double" stud. This allows you to overlap two female fasteners onto one male stud). Punching the holes in the fabric for the female components is best accomplished with the purchase of a twist lock fastener dye cutter. We will supply a free twist lock dye cutter at no charge on single RV skirting orders over $750.00
We do not pre-install the twist lock fasteners into the fabric RV skirt panels. You must install the twist lock stud fasteners into the RV and the twist lock eyelet and ring into Skirt panels. This allows you to locate the fasteners in the exact, correct position that you want them on your RV.
All three components of the twist lock fastener, the ring, eyelet, and twist lock stud (shown above right) are included with your order. There are enough twist lock fastener sets included with each RV skirt panel you order to install the twist lock fasteners at approximately every 20" spacing. More twist lock fastener sets can be purchased separately if desired. The twist lock studs must be installed on the trailer body first in the exact location you want. Make sure it is a solid location using a proper screw or rivet (not provided). Each twist lock stud requires two holes to be drilled in the RV for mounting. It is recommended that you use a small dap of clear silicone sealant on each hole you drill as you attach each fastener. You must determine the proper type of screw or rivet to use for your application. Visit your local hardware store for instructions.
The female components of the twist lock fastener (ring and eyelet) are to be installed in the exact position in the top double, reinforced hem of each RV skirt panel to match the location of the twist lock studs previously mounted onto the RV. Punching the holes in the fabric for the female components is best accomplished with the purchase of a twist lock fastener dye cutter.

Use the Twist Lock Fastener Cutting Dye Tool to quickly punch the holes for the twist lock fasteners.
Dye Cutter for Twist Lock Fastener Cutting dye used to easily punch the exact required holes to set the 78403 eyelet component of the twist lock fastener. To be used on a flat, rubber cutting pad or soft wood surface. Note: This tool is not required to set the twist lock fasteners. A sharp razor knife may also be used to manually cut the required holes for the twist lock fastener, however this can be a very time consuming and inconsistent process.
The male component of the twist lock fastener sticks out 3/4". Make sure you have clearance for the twist lock fasteners if skirting your RV slide out. Do not pre-drill all the fastener holes in your RV. Attach one twist lock fastener at a time as you work your way around your RV. All twist lock fasteners have corrosion resistant nickel finish and rust-resistant brass springs. Mounting screws are not provided for the twist lock fasteners. Because the twist lock fastener may be mounted to a variety of surfaces (ie. heavier metal, tin, plastic, fiberglass, etc.) we cannot identify the appropriate screw or rivet type to send with the fastener. Please check with your local hardware store professional who can help you determine the best type and size of mounting screw or rivet to use in your application.
Securing each panel to the ground. Each panel has a bottom "Pocket Hem" for weight inserts as well as stake loops spaced every 5 feet.
Each finished skirt panel has an additional 5" pocket hem welded along the entire bottom for weight inserts. (The 5" pocket hem is not included in the overall height of the panel). The 5" pocket hem is designed to fold back under the RV and lay flat on the ground. If you do not have access to weighted pipes or heavy PVC tubing to insert into the bottom pockets then you can simply set sand bags, bricks, rocks, or any other weighted item on top of the folded back flap to secure it to the ground. Rope stake loops are also placed into each skirting panel every 5' along the front bottom side allowing you to securely stake the panels into the ground. (Stakes are not included)
HELPFUL THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT RV SKIRTING:
The
height measured over the RV wheel axles should always be the consistent
height to the ground, no matter where your RV is parked.
The
rubber beading trim found on most RVs is usually mounted at a
consistent height on all four sides and is a good, solid mounting point
to consider for skirting.
When using twist lock fasteners, you must determine the proper type of screw
or rivet to use for your application. Your local hardware store
professional can help you.
Longer panels can be wrapped around corners to skirt both the sides and ends of your RV.
Use longer panel lengths when possible to minimize openings and reduce splicing.
To minimize wrinkling, it is recommended that you attach one fastener at a time as you work your way around your RV. Do not pre-drill all fastener holes.
Always cut the vinyl skirting fabric from around heat source areas like the furnace or hot water tank exhaust.
Do
not drive or pull your RV with the skirting panels attached. Before
traveling, remove the skirting panels from your RV and store them
properly.

Strips or pieces of vinyl can be cut apart as needed to permanently join RV skirting sections together or to aid in customizing your skirting sections around steps, hitches, doors, or storage compartments. Holes and tears can also be repaired in your vinyl skirting
Two separate panel sections can be joined together on the vertical ends with the VINYL ZIPPER SPLICE so that they can be separated (un-zipped) if desired. A zipper splice is great for adding a zippered door access into a 5th wheel nose skirt and storage compartments. Each VINYL ZIPPER SPLICE comes pre-sewn with a #10 size, heavy duty, separating zipper. Zipper splices are glued into the panel at the desired location and requires the purchase of the HH-66 VINYL CEMENT to install.
Two separate panels can be joined together on the vertical ends with the VINYL HOOK AND LOOP SPLICE so that they can be separated (pulled apart) if desired. Each VINYL HOOK AND LOOP SPLICE comes pre-sewn with 2" wide hook and loop fastener. Hook and Loop splices are glued into the panel at the desired location and requires the purchase of the HH-66 VINYL CEMENT to install.
